Let’s just say that no matter how hard you try - you can’t seem to continuously dedicate thirty minutes, three to five times a week to working out. I get it – it can be extremely hard! We have jammed packed schedules that are typically filled from the time we wake up in the morning until the time we finally decide to lay down at night. Kids, husbands, careers, businesses, church commitments, etc. I mean chile - lend me some of your time! LOL. It's all fun a
nd games until your favorite pair of jeans, the one's I call "dem jeans" no longer fit! Houston - we now have a problem!!!
Even though I am 100% sold out on making the time to get it done, I would much rather see you do something versus nothing at all. I’ve found a few tricks over the years that have really helped me keep things decent and in order. You know God really likes stuff done that way and my husband is totally visual honey! It’s a must that I be both his eye candy and soul food. TMI? Sorry girl. Let’s get to the work.
Take the stairs: If you work in a building that allows you to take the stairs, do it! Leave a pair of tennis shoes in the trunk of your car. Walk the stairs in your tennis shoes and carry your heels in a purse or a small bag. This will do wonders for your legs, butt, and help you build endurance. Now look girl, don’t go to them people place and pass out in the stairway. Until you get acclimated, take quick breaks and have a bottled water if needed.
Walk during break: Spend your fifteen minute breaks walking at a moderate to brisk speed. If you’re anything like me you’ve probably told your child or someone else’s child that they smell like outside after they had been playing or something of the sorts. There’s Febreze for that! LOL. Keep a travel size bottle of this "get your fresh together" at your desk. I mean honestly - you really can smell like outside. Or is that just a country girl thing?
Glute squeeze: Randomly squeeze your glutes three to four times a day for about twenty seconds each time. This can be done while standing at the printer, washing your hands during a bathroom break, or pumping gas. The possibilities are endless! Over time, this will help tone and lift. Don’t try to be modest sis. I already know. Everybody is after the perfect derriere!
Now that you've read this, I am holding you accountable! There is no excuse to do absolutely nothing in terms of fitness throughout the day. The gag is that I’m hoping the small things that I've given you in this post will eventually stir up your desire to do more and get real real results!
