God's Plan

Updated: Aug 11, 2019

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house - not a creature was stirring - not even a mouse! Just kidding girl. Here's the tea.

Somewhere in my pretty little mind - I was convinced that I would not have a December baby. I honestly thought I would deliver on or after my due date of Jan 4th. Well - you know that little saying that if you want to make God laugh - tell him your plans? Yeah that saying sis! I'll go ahead and testify that it's true girl. It's true. I didn't want a Christmas baby because I wanted my 5 year old son to to enjoy the holiday. Although everyone and their momma mentioned claiming a 2018 baby on taxes, lol, January was my preference for no apparent reason at all. We'll just go with it sounded good! ;)

My guess would be that me wanting my son to enjoy Christmas was valid and God honored that! The kid had an amazing day. He was super excited about all his new things and we even had a chance to visit and eat with our close friends. About 4 AM the next morning as I was laying in bed - I randomly felt warm fluid begin to trickle down my leg and form a puddle around me. Well I be damn! My water broke. I hope that's not TMI but its pregnancy hunni. It ain't always cute. ;)

Being induced with my son kind of robbed me of a lot of memories. So here I was tickled pink with a slight bit of green (my AKA sawrahs will catch that - lol). I was so looking forward to things happening naturally this time around. As I was sitting there looking crazy, I'm thinking to myself "his way not mine." Ready or not my little diva was on her way.

Sis - the thing is that He already has a plan for our lives. So many times we worry ourselves with all the details of a thing when divine timing has already been appointed and has nothing to do with us. You may not be sitting in a puddle of amniotic fluid at a time that you didn't plan - but the situations, circumstances, and your present moments are predestined and working for your good.

It's in our ability to truly release control that we find our greatest strength. Preparation is one thing while attempting to totally control a thing is another. Ultimately sis, things will always happen according to God's plan!
