Sister,
Whew, come on in. Girl, writing this blog feels like we’re all meeting up at grandma’s house after years of being apart.
hand clap.... Me and you, us never part. Makidada.... 💕
I’m not sure why I ever stopped writing, but I think it had a lot to do with the shift on social media. Video content became king, and I found myself swept up in the chase, chile. But lately, I’ve felt this nudge to slow down and focus on deeper connections, real community, and more intimate sharing.
The last time we talked was 2020, and I had just had my baby girl. Listen, she’s a sassy 5-year-old now and growing into all the best parts of me. She and my son are such a vital part of my growth in purpose and love. 🥰
Speaking of purpose...
What a difference a few years can make! In 2020, I also self-published my first book: Girl, You Have Purpose – Discover Life’s Meaning by Identifying Your Unique Gift. In the book, I shared practical ways to help you connect with your gifts and live out your life’s divine assignment.
If you don’t have a copy of the book... takes deep breath... I won’t fuss. 😄 Just get the book, okay? It's truly one of those things that you just need to have in your arsenal.
Since writing the book, God has called me to a deeper understanding of purpose. What’s wild is, even though He called me into this deeper place, it all became much clearer and less complicated. It’s like He placed a flow chart on the walls of my brain, helping me see things in a structured and logical way.
I Had Questions!!
With everyone feeling so overwhelmed in their day-to-day—balancing roles, responsibilities, and trying to be everything to everybody—I started to wonder if purpose was just one more thing to add to the list. I mean... babyyyyyy, I myself had experienced being flat-out TIDE (tired).
During those times, God had me dive into books, podcasts, scripture, and conversations with spiritual advisors, because she (myself) needed an answer like yesterday! When I tell you, questioning and searching for what satisfied my soul is when things got real, real good. 🔥🔥🔥
The Revelation ✨
God sat me down and eased my concerns: Purpose is about serving others, yes, but there’s no purpose bigger than committing to being the best version of yourself. From the best version of YOU, everything else flows. That’s really how you walk this thing out!
This makes room for alignment with who He created you to be and what He created you to do in every season of your life.
If you've found yourself serving others but cheating yourself out of intentionally serving you – baby, that’s dead! I'm encouraging you to adopt a "me first" approach.
I'm not saying disregard the call you have to impact the lives of others, but I am saying you can't do that from a place of "tired AF!" 😩
In the next post, let’s chat more about how we actually become the best version of ourselves and move beyond just saying things that sound good without knowing how to actually do it!

Love you, sister.
